Ingredients

Impossible Sloppy Joes

Oils

  • 2 Tbsp Avocado Oil

Ingredients

  • 1 Onion
  • 2 Garlic Cloves
  • 1 Bell Pepper (I prefer yellow/orange)
  • 1 Can tomato Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp Vegan Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 Package of Impossible Meat - Thawed

Spices

  • 2 Tbsp Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp Chili Power
  • 1 Tsp Cumin
  • 1/2 Tsp Smoked Paprika


Instructions:

 

  1. Dice the onions, garlic, and bell pepper.
  2. Heat the oil in a large pot over medium-high heat, then add the onions and bell pepper and cook until it starts to brown/caramelize - about 10ish minutes.
  3. Once caramelized, add the garlic and cook until fragrant. About a minute, maybe 2. If low on oil and drying, feel free to add a splash of water.
  4. Now add the tomato sauce, sugar, Worcestershire, chili powder, cumin, and paprika. Let it cook in for a minute. 
  5. Next, create a circle with your veggies (like a donut with a big whole in the middle), add a splash of oil to the naked center of the pan, and drop that thawed impossible beef in the center. Cut it up so that it resembles what you think it should resemble. Whenever you feel like it's right, stir the veggies in with the impossible beef. Do this before your veggies start to burn, but also give that faux-beef some time to cook. I like to cook it until the red color is gone.
  6. Mix together, throw it onto some toasted buns, and enjoy!
